ABSTRACT |
The purpose of this study was on examining the clinical usefulness of word lists, by verifying at test-retest's
reliability of bisyllabic word lists (KS-BWL-P), monosyllabic word lists (KS-MWL-P), and sentence lists (KS-SL-P)
written in KS I ISO 8253-3 which is established as Korean standard. The subjects were 52 ears of 26 children with
normal hearing, aged ranges were 3 ~ 5 years. The least intensity to correctly response to precisely half of selected
bisyllabic words were set as SRT. For WRS and SRS, the number of correctly responded words were used in terms
of percentage; the words were given at variable intensities of 10, 20, 30 dB SL. Results of this study showed high
reliability of test-retest of KS-BWL-P, KS-MWL-P, and KS-SL-P. These results can be usefully applied in evaluating
subject's word discrimination ability on clinical field and conducting hearing rehabilitation. However, some pictures
need modification as a few children have difficulties understanding them. |
