ABSTRACT
Cochlear implant has been a major intervention tool for children who cannot benefit enough from conventional hearing aids technology. Up to now, in general, implanted children demonstrated a wide range of individual differences in hearing and language abilities. Among these major traits of communication, some difficulties were often involved with prosodic natures of the speech. These temporal performances in speech could be effectively assisted and trained with rhythmic properties of music. In this review, general principles and application were discussed for musical training in aural rehabilitation of the children with cochlear implants. In addition, appropriate demonstrations were introduced to provide related audiologists and professionals with basic examples of therapies in musical audiology such as shown in duration, pitch, and loudness skill training sessions.
